The Voice has secured a powerhouse collection of guest mentors for season two which debuts February 5, 2012 after the Super Bowl. These are among the best and most celebrated vocalists in the music business. They will take part in the "Battle Rounds" which pit two team members against each other and then the team leader must select the winner with consultation from guest mentors. See the full list below.
The Voice was a surprise hit during its first season, and it looks set to take on another successful talent competition show, American Idol, which begins its 11th season January 18, 2012. Season 1's winner Javier Colon has struggled, however, to make a significant commercial impact. His album Come Through For You was released November 21, 2011. It reached #20 on the R&B album chart, but failed to reach the top 100 of the overall album chart selling less than 10,000 copies in its first week of release. Runner-up Dia Frampton fared slightly better when her album Red hit stores December 6, 2011 and sold just over 10,000 copies in its first week.
