Feist Whacks a Pinata While Her Band Jams 'November Rain' -- Video

When big-name indie bands decide to indulge in '80s-era hair ballads, people witnessing usually lose their s---. And that's exactly what happened during a recent Feist gig in Mexico City. After finishing her final ballad of the evening with a few signature falsetto cat howls, Feist was greeted by a stage hand carrying a large bat. Then, the indie rockers trudged right into the chorus of Guns N' Roses' 'November Rain,' complete with a Slash impersonator -- at least, we've been told he's an impersonator. (We've got an eye on you, Slash.)

Rather than partake in any Axl Rose-like vocal exercises, Feist let her backup singers do the work. Instead, the Canadian beauty went up stage to poke and prod a giant pinata that had made its way to eye level. Whilst Feist bludgeoned the purple starfish-shaped alien thing, Joe Slasher sprayed hot fire from his guitar. When it was all over, the singer dismantled the pesky pinata and tossed its candy guts into the audience.

Needless to say, Mexico City was pretty happy about the experience, except for the select few audience members who got a bad trip from the singer's acid candy. (We're joking, of course ... ) Feist is currently on tour in support of her latest album, 'Metals.' Check out the paper pummeling below.
