Beyonce Gives Birth To Baby Blue Ivy Carter

Beyonce and Jay-Z are now proud parents. Last night they welcomed a baby daughter Blue Ivy Carter into the world at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. Almost immediately close celebrity friends of the pair began revealing the birth of Blue before the media had the opportunity. Jay-Z's protege Rihanna tweeted, "Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih." There has been no official announcement, but that is not unusual for the couple who keep their private lives very private.
Beyonce has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide, and all four of her solo releases have been certified platinum in the US. She also has 12 top 10 pop hit singles as a lead solo artist.
