Bob Weston Dies: Former Fleetwood Mac Guitarist Found Dead in London

Police discovered the British musician's body in his home in north London after neighbors became worried, the Associated Press reports. Authorities do not suspect foul play and a subsequent autopsy revealed Weston died of a gastric intestinal hemorrhage, cirrhosis and throat problems. Weston was brought on as a replacement for guitarist Danny Kirwan in 1972, but after playing with the band for two years, trouble began to brew. But unfortunately for rock fan Ronald Sixt Jr., his night seeing the rock legend ended with a knife wound to the face. During the Wednesday, Jan. 4, show at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, Sixt had apparently bumped into one Carl Darren Brothers, a drunken concertgoer who became aggressive after the initial contact. The men began arguing while Allman continued to play on stage, then fought for a period of time before Brothers unleashed a knife from his back pocket and stabbed Sixt. Tom Ardolino, Longtime NRBQ Drummer, Dead at 56

He was 56. Ardolino joined NRBQ -- short for New Rhythm and Blues Quartet -- in 1974, taking over for original timekeeper Tom Staley. Over the next 30 years, Ardolino played on 15 studio albums, leaving his mark on songs that would earn the group a fervent cult following, if limited mainstream success.
